Happy Easter!

Hope you've had a great day celebrating the most important event in history! We've had a full but fun day.

This evening, some friends invited us to join in on an Easter egg hunt they planned for some neighborhood kids. I was really glad for the opportunity since I had not planned ahead to dye eggs and there are no plastic eggs to be found anywhere in town! And of course, it's more fun to have an Easter egg hunt with lots of other kids!

The adults actually hid the eggs twice. The first go-around Grace enjoyed finding the eggs, but the second time she was too busy looking at the bucket-fulls of candy that were out. I think she had her first offical sugar-high tonight. It was a beautiful day today!
A little friend came by to add to Grace's basket.

Of course, egg hunts are unheard of here, so many onlookers were very curious as to what was going on. Some elderly grandmas saw what was happening but didn't understand it was just for the kids. They grabbed some hard-boiled eggs for themselves, too, and started stuffing them in their pockets! :)

First of all, oh.my.word. just look at that Easter dress! Preciousness. We also had some fun hiding eggs & letting our little guy...squish them in his hand. (photos coming soon...I just got too lazy tonight to upload them) Anyway, ok, B, I totally would have politely asked those Grandma's to put the eggs in Grace's basket. Well...maybe not...depending on how cute they were slipping them in their pockets.

Hi Sweeties. Gram and I thoroughly enjoying these Easter pics this afternoon. Next year we'll pull out the stops in Lubbock and stuff gobs of plastic eggs. I promise no "grabbing Grandmas" too!

Love,
Mom
