Some days it feels like home here, other days we feel like outsiders. But, we're trying to become a little more egg-like each day: white on the outside but yellow in the middle.

proud of my dad
I just have to write and brag a little bit on my dad. He was honored this past week as the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce's "Volunteer of the Year." He's been actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years now and has put in many-an-hour volunteering. He was honored at a luncheon this week (along with a few other folks) with 500 people in attendance. Even got his picture in the paper. I know how great my dad is; it's just kind of nice when other people notice, too!
I'm proud of you, Dad!!

I didn't know that! Way to go, Jim! I think he is pretty spectacular too. And Carter also thinks that he hung the moon.
Yay, Papa Jim! Way to go. I'm so glad that they honored that hard work.
